Rinker had about an inch of water in her house on Saturday, but other than that, she — and her elephants at the zoo — have been safe and sound. Despite the havoc Harvey has brought on the city, Rinker said residents have tried to remain positive and help each other. Rinker has lived in the city for 11 years and works as senior elephant keeper at the Houston Zoo. We had boat rescues — there were boats going up and down my street, and Coast Guard helicopters.
